Wellington author Damien Wilkins’ first foray into Y/A is going rather well. His novel Aspiring (Massey University Press) has been shortlisted for the Young Adult Fiction Award in the New Zealand Book Awards for Children & Young Adults.
Aspiring follows Ricky, a tall boy in a small town who’s just trying to make sense of it all.
